Nicki Minaj to release album a week early

US rapper, Nicki Minaj has announced that she will drop her new album, Queen, today - a week earlier than advertised.

The news came last night during an episode of Nicki's Queen Radio show on Beats 1.

Last week, it was reported she was holding back the star-studded album in order to clear a sample of a Tracy Chapman tune.

Now, the 35-year-old, who had initially planned to release the record in June, said it had been finished only three hours before she went on air.

"It’s a lot of corporate drama in here," she added.

Queen is set to feature appearances from Eminem, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne and more.
