Otiko Afisa Djaba, Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection |
The advice came from the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba in an interview with Atinka News after Tuesday’s Meet-the-Press series in Accra.
She said girls who engage in sexual activities usually become school dropouts, thereby threatening their future.
The minister therefore charged parents to be fully involved in the lives of their teenagers especially the girls and engage them adding, “it is very easy to be pregnant but difficult to bring up a child” hence the need for these minors to desist from activities that lead to teenage pregnancies.
