Ghana is holding the first ever Makeup award, According to the organizers their aim is to reward the trailblazer and budding talents in the Makeup and beauty industry in Ghana and also to celebrate Makeup artists whose contribution to the beauty industry has not yet been recognized as well as the younger generation of the Makeup artists who are breaking new grounds and pushing the boundaries in the Makeup profession. The award is also to acknowledge the work of the Makeup brands, retailers and all other industry players in supporting the Makeup artist to develop the Industry in Ghana.
The launch/nominees Announcement of the maiden edition of the Awards took place on the 29th of July 2016 at Accra city hotel .

Makeup Ghana is a movement to create an ecosystem for the emerging and fast growing beauty industry in Ghana.
The movement was initiated with the objective of creating a platform to bring together players from the Makeup profession, the Makeup Brands, the Wholesale and Retail trade, the Fashion media in GH, etc. under one umbrella to generate synergy and propel the business forward.This will be done through the education of the public on issues bordering on Makeup, setting the right standards for the budding industry and promoting best practice in the Makeup industry to drive traction for growth.
